“They’re for my experiment.”

“Experiment?”

“Yes, I need their guts.”

“The… what? Guts?”

“Yes, electronics, wires. I thought you were here to help?”

“Well, I…um,” sputtered, stumbling over my words and intentions.

“If you’re just going to stand around then go, otherwise start taking apart these lamps,” Ralph commanded before resuming his tinkering. I was curious now, so I picked up the nearest lamp and began dismantling it. This would at least pass the time and allow me to keep an eye on Ralph until the hospital staff came to take him back.
