—33 words—

This weekend we’re asking for 33 of your own words inspired by the idiom, third time’s the charm.  This familiar phrase may have an indeterminate origin, but its meaning is clear.  Whether or not you include the phrase itself is up to you.  Just make sure to use exactly 33 words.  And, as usual, have fun with it!
I can’t resist a little voodoo. I purposely didn’t say who the doll was supposed to be, her lover or herself, read it either way or both. Enjoy a little magic  🙂

  1. And did read it both ways before I saw your note. Intriguing to be sure. 🙂

I really like the voodoo spin.

  4. Yes! I love this one! Stake through the heart! 🙂 Thanks for linking up!

I read it first as the doll being her lover. Then, after your comment at the end, I read it again and it really does work both ways. Either way, she’s probably one to steer clear of (probably too late if you’re clenching your chest doubled over in pain :))

Ooh, creepy! Love the voodoo angle. Love the ambiguity of who the target is. Great take on the prompt!

Enjoyed the voo doo take. The strike to the heart was the perfect “touch”!
