Serena

All is lost

In this darkest of night

Shattered dreams

Death

Silver Crystal

Send forth all

To be reborn

No memory of this violence

Moonbeams

Shine on my love

Only peace

Only Serenity

—–33 words—–

Okay, so the Trifextra challenge is asking us to tell the back story of a super hero this weekend. With Sailor Moon and her Sailor Scouts making a comeback to anime this summer I couldn’t resist telling of Queen Serenity sacrifice to send her daughter (also named Serenity) and the other Sailor Scouts to the future when the moon kingdom was distorted, thus leading to Sailor Moon and the Sailor Scouts. The original  anime series spans 200 episodes, and is one of the longest-running magical girl anime series. So Awesome!

Trifextra: Week Sixty-Six

This weekend we’re having some fun with the prompt, some super-powered fun, that is. We’re asking you to write the origin story to the superhero of your choice in exactly 33 words.

This weekend’s challenge is community judged.

WHY do you have to f*ck with my feels by writing about Sailor Moon??? ;__; I grew up on her and other animes alongside “normal” cartoons. *hums theme song*

  7. My ignorance of sailor moon is total.. but it was a great text

  8. What a lovely slice of childhood.

Thanks for linking up! Please don’t forget to come back to vote!

  9. The poem leaves me intrigued as if it were a riddle. I like the sparseness of it and the way it looks on the page – the voice lends well to sic-fi fantasy with your word choice. Nice.
