Al’s mother had put him out back again with the cat while she another man over. He could hear their heavy breathing though cracked bedroom window. Disenchanted with the blue caterpillar he was torturing, Al rolled over on the grass coming face to face with a white bunny. Both Al and the rabbit lay frozen for a moment. As soon as he reached for the rabbit, it scurried off leaving silver key behind. Al grabbed the key and gave chase through the yard. The white rabbit led him to a hole in the fence before darting into Old Maddy’s yard.
