Antonietta Vanessa Tomalski was a corpulent widow who donned on the strands of pearls her husband gave her on their last wedding anniversary every morning. With furrowed brow and a deep longing sigh, she gave one last look in the mirror each day before facing toe world alone. Ani’s spent her days without love facilitating various charities and maintaining her estate.Though her holdings were not as opulent as many in her social circle, they were nothing to frown upon. The work she did for the terminally ill had always been a passion for her. She had obtained a degree in psychology to do social work, working with patients in hospitals during her younger years. She had never expected her own husband, the love of her life, would eventually be one of those patients. She would trade all of her estate to have him back now.
On her way to the hospital a man approached her.
“Could you spare a few dollars m’am?”
“Yes, here you are.”
“Thank you, m’am. I tell you, I have have a message for you, you will find love again, where you least expect it.”
Ani smiled politely and headed into the hospital for her fundraising meeting with the new director. She doubted she’d ever find love again when she’d already given her heart completely.
