Story A Day Sept 19: Happy Talk Like A Pirate Day

“Batten down the hatches, weigh anchor and hoist the mizzen!”

“Aye, Aye Cap’n”

“Where’s Dagger Dan?”

“He’s three sheets to the wind”

“Bilge-sucking buccaneer ougtta walk the plank straight to Davy Jones’ Locker.”

“Ye old seadog, heave ho to the crow’s nest.”

“The crow’s nest?”

“Aye, ye ain’t no landlubber are ye?”

“No Cap’n, but the storm?”

“Tryin’ hornswaggle me are ye?”

“Perhaps it’s ye I’ll use to feed the fish, ye scallywag.”

“Cap’n Brody, please…”

“It’ll be the keelhaul for ye”

Cap’n Brody set sail from the Dominican Republic early September 1737 never to be heard from again.
